Welcome; we are very glad you are here.
Thought for the Day
Acts 9:3-4, “And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:” 4 “And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?”
Have you ever been completely wrong about something important? Would you admit it, when you found out?
Saul travels the Damascus Road as an enemy of Christ, carrying arrest warrants and threatening followers of Jesus. He's absolutely convinced he's serving God by destroying the church. Then heaven's light breaks through with supernatural intensity, and Jesus speaks his name.
What changes everything isn’t learning about Jesus, but encountering the resurrected Lord. In that moment, Saul realizes everything he believed about Jesus is completely wrong. The man he hss been persecuting is alive, ruling from heaven's throne.
You have access to that same transforming light today through God's Word, which is "… a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105). Whether you’re reading Scripture, hearing a sermon, watching a movie about Christ, or having a quiet conversation with a friend, God's truth can illuminate your darkness just as powerfully as it did with Saul on that dusty Damascus Road.
The light that stopped a persecutor can stop you, too. His light is not sent to blind you but to help you finally see clearly. When you encounter the risen Christ, not just as a historical figure but as the living Lord, everything changes about you, and everything changes in you.
Jewish New Year:
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, a two-day holiday that marks the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Days, leading up to Yom Kippur. (Monday, September 22nd, through Wednesday September 24th, 2025.)
Pray for this Nation:
Isaiah 5:20, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.” This nation has forgotten the Lord and has lost its way. Pray!
Did You Know that:
Chickens don’t just eat seeds; they like to eat insects and also mice and lizards. Giraffes don’t just have long necks: They have long tongues! Their tongues are between 18 and 20 inches long. In Arizona, you can’t feed garbage to pigs without getting a permit.

"Verse of the Month" Contest.
Can you find our verse of the month? Every week, we will reveal a word or a phrase that is a part of one special verse in the Bible (KJV or NKJV). Those who find all the clues and guess the correct verse will receive a gift. But every person will have only one guess, and your wrong guess will disqualify you; so wait until you get more clues and you are absolutely sure. We appreciate all of you who spend time in God's Word.
The second clue for the month of September is: "Which." There are four clues for this month's verse. (when you are sure, send your answers to gmbc1610@gmail.com)
And; Good Luck.
